Inderøy Honey

Inderøyhonning has a long tradition of beekeeping since the early 80s, and today we offer our products in selected stores and from the farm's sales outlet with our own online store.

Honey is like wine! The summer honey takes most of its flavor from raspberry flowers, which make the honey light in color and fine in texture. The taste can vary from year to year depending on the weather, season, climate and soil. The taste can also be characterized by willow, dandelion, blueberry heather, white clover and "geitrams". The heather honey from Hitra consists of both nectar from heather and bell heather. Rose heather gives a stronger flavor with a distinctive character, while bell heather gives a more caramelized note. All in all, a good taste picture, but it is the bees who ultimately decide which plants and flowers they attract!

Locally produced honey that is not heat-treated is only strained and stirred before it is bottled.
